Become a driving force for local and global evangelization
Connect your local ministry to the Church’s worldwide mission

 The Church is missionary
by its very nature.
It was sent by Christ
to reveal and communicate
the love of God
to all people and nations.
By baptism, all Christians are called
to actively participate in that
mission of Jesus
John Paul II, Redemptoris Missio

The deacon’s ministry of service is linked
with the missionary dimension of Church:
the missionary efforts of the deacon
will embrace the ministry of the word,
the liturgy, and works of charity
which, in their turn,
are carried into daily life.
Directorium Pro Ministerio et Vita Diaconorum Permanentium
Founded over 100 years ago to engage U.S. Catholics in mission, the Maryknoll Fathers & Brothers are proud to offer a new program to assist deacons and their wives.

This program has three goals to engage the diaconate in a partnership to further the mission of Jesus locally and globally:
1) Provide formation for local and global evangelization,
2) cross cultural and international immersion experiences and
3) development of resources and support of deacons and their wives as mission promotors and educators in their parishes and dioceses to become a driving force for mission in the Church.   Learn more...
